Default Best Players Union?

Obviously subjective as to what "best" means, but who do you think has the best CBA or strongest union? A handful of pros and cons to start.

Baseball:
Pros: Soft Salary cap (revenue sharing)
Guaranteed contracts

Con:long service time to reach FA 6+ years

Football:
Pros: Moderate period to FA
signing bonuses Guarenteed

Cons: Contracts not G'd
Hard salary cap

Basketball:
Pros short service time to FA
G'd contracts
exceptions to cap

cons: Cap, max deals, refs rigging games

NHL: what a great idea that strike was.

Tons more to go, initially I like basketball for the fairest to the players, football the least fair.

Isn't The MLBPA one of the strongest unions in the country?

And you have signing bonuses gtd. as a "plus" for NFL, when full contracts are Gtd in MLB and NBA

Tell retired NFL players how good the NFLPA is.

Uhhh how is this not the MLBPA? Look at the contracts of the players.

I'd think that NBA is next.

That line where Bryant Gumbel told Roger Goodell to "get Paul Tagliabue to show you where he keeps Gene Upshaw's" leash...that was pretty accurate. The NFL's deal is by far the worst.

I think the MLB >> NBA > NHL >>>>>>>NFL. NBA has a soft cap, the Bird exemption, the sign-and-trade deal, big guaranteed deals for rookies, and the mid-level exception that keeps undertalented players well-funded.

The way the NBA draft is structured gives owners a huge advantage over the rookies, however. It's borderline ridiculous, actually.
