Default College Football: Rank the 1- loss teams (anonymous)

Ignoring Boise State, there are 7 one-loss teams: LSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Missouri, Ohio State, and Arizona State. As was done before, I'll post them without team names, giving the ranking of the loss, and all big wins (over teams that have at least one AP vote).

Obviously you can figure out what team is what here, but try to just go off of this info.

Here they are in random order. I put the AP ranking first with the Sagarin overall ranking in parenthesis. The score is given after.

Team A
loss - at 29 (15) 21-13
big wins - none

Team B
loss - at Sagarin 56(AP unranked) 27-24
big wins - neutral 12 (16) 28-21; vs 6 (9) 41-31

Team C
loss - vs 20 (20) 28-21
big wins - at 26 (22) 37-17; vs 24 (26) 38-17

Team D
loss - vs 30 (25) 31-24
big wins - at 23 (21) 39-7; vs 11 (10) 24-17; vs 9 (8) 35-23

Team E
loss - at 3 (4) 41-31
big wins - neutral 20 (20) 40-34

Team F
loss - at 22 (17) 43-37 (3 OT)
big wins - vs 10 (14) 48-7; vs (7) 28-24; vs 27 (24) 30-24; at 34 (27) 41-34

Team G
loss - at 2 (3) 35-23
big wins - vs 30 (25) 31-20

F, D, E, G, B, C, A

Can't wait to see how ridiculous that looks w/ teams (I tried not to think about it).

I think B,E and G are probably going to have the most disagreement.

B has a bad loss but two big wins, E and G are basically the opposite with only one win that isn't all that impressive but their losses are against top teams.

I could see an argument for any ordering in there, though E looks better than G.

I think people have C really low, but they lost to a decent team by one score and had two good (2 score+) wins over slightly worse teams. Has to be better than team G imo.

It's kind of like arguing bubble teams in basketball in the sense that nobody will ever change their mind. The extent to which quality of wins, losses, & overall schedule is never clearly defined & thus the opinions are based on highly inconsistent, arbitrary criteria.

I personally feel like team C should get a quality road win to make up for their bad loss & give them the edge over team G, but I can't really get upset with anyone who doesn't agree.

fdbcega

c and b are very close tho and proly interchangeable. f clearly has the best resume. a is obv the worst. putting e or g above c is laughable.

ok after looking some more i think e could be close to c. im still sticking by c bc they have 2 wins while e only has one against similiar opponents.

but really, g has done nothing and is not close to c. c beat 2 teams better than the only quality team g beat. you are rewarding g for simply playing a great team.

also i only know the identity of c.
