Boring flop spot

Preflop Hero raises Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the CO, folded to villian in bb who calls

Flop T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises

3 bet now or wait for the turn? If you wait, are there any turns that you arent raising?

i'd wait for the turn but i think 3-betting now is also ok. i played around with pokerstove and it looks like our equity drops below 65% on the following turn cards: any J, 6s, 7s, 9s, any 8. so unless one of them hits, we can raise the turn.

I just 3bet now because I 3bet with trash so often, I need to 3bet good hands as well.

it just depends on what the person thinks you are 3 betting with.

If I 3bet here, most tags cap with any pair and lead the turn, then I call down.

That's just how I respond to people responding to me though.

That same hand with A8, I would sometimes 3 bet sometimes raise turn.

really? can you explain your reasoning? Do you find that ppl shut down a lot with draws at this point? fwiw if i catch a tag 3-betting the flop with like AJ here even once and taking a free BB street (whether its turn or river), I will be capping the flop or donking one of the BB streets a ton. And I highly doubt AJ wants to play a big pot vs. my range.

not my experience at all. usually flop cap = big draw or top pair+. Maybe that's just the adjustment they've been making against you?

yes, this has a lot to do with metagame vs. the 10-20 regs on AP.

I just 3bet the flop because the don't believe me.

Against TAGs who know me I never do this. They now I am not folding a better hand by the river so they tend to give up a lot.

So I just 3-bet the flop or wait for the turn depending a bit on dynamics and how loose I think he calls down turn raises
