Skunks! I HATE skunks!

Last night I let the dogs out for their last potty break of the night before bedtime and all hell breaks out. Once again the darn things have a skunk trapped. Both dogs got sprayed. The wiener dog got the worst of it this time. Had to give them both baths, which helped some but not totally, and the outside reeked as it drifted into the house as well. So all night spent smelling skunk while trying to sleep!

Fun ending to the night!

I rescued my bicycle from the barn where it's been sitting unsued for about 8 years and took a ride around the block a couple times this week, (about 7 miles). Naturally I've startled a few deer. I'm really not concerned about the deer or even a bear, but the idea of surprising a skunk is terrifying.

We once had a relative visiting from Germany, who only knew from cartoons that skunks smelled bad. It was a revelation to him when we passed a dead one on the road in the car. Light bulb!

Speaking of deer, nailed one on the 2 lane on my way home last night. From what I could tell in the garage light, the van didn't get much damage. Couldn't find the deer. It was either way down in the ditch or ran away. (I did get on the brakes before hitting it.)

You act like you're 40 yrs old for god's sake. I think it's funny that DB likes change. He's keeping us on our toes.

I'm surprised Mat doesn't get drunk and start changing a few names every once in a while.

Hitting deer sucks!!! Glad there wasn't too much damage. It still amazes me how much damage a deer can do to a car. I haven't hit a deer, yet, but I did nail a cow a few years back and that wasn't fun!

Probably not a whole lot of fun for the cow either.
