Default nl is still ez

Some of you may remember my recent graph about my forays into NL.

NL is still ez!

2/3 nl, ~$300 stacks, running 4h.

I raise to $11 w/ 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG, villain calls otb.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($27)

I bet $19, villain calls.

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($65)

check, villain bets $33, call.

River: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($131)

check, villain bets $122, call - J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] is no good.

Villain bets 1/2 pot on the turn and bets big on the river, looks sort of fishy to me.

you know people floating the flop and double barreling turn and river at 2/3 doesn't make "nl easy".

he actually played the hand pretty well.

Edit: forget it. I had a read and went with it, I was quite confident in it or I wouldn't have made this play...hero calling 77 on this board with any regularity is suicide, i just thought it was a neat hand.

No, getting floated on this type of board and having to face double barrels regularly does not make NL ez. The way they do so such that their hands are easily identifiable as [bluffs, nuts] or [medium made hands, strong made hands, strong draws] such that the appropriate response is relatively clear does.
