Default The benefit of the forums.

Is not the benefit of these forums the ability to connect, on some important, scientifically-observable level, with other individuals?

Is this perhaps amongst the most valuable resource that online message forums can offer us?

This is a philisophical question, as we are exploring things that are real. At the very least, we are exploring ideas that seem to be real (to me, personally - and I like to think I am a rational person.)
