People picking MK over the versus games are extra retarded; the MK games are some of the worst fighters ever made.

Anyone who picks KI over SF2 needs to be rocketed into the sun, for humanity's sake.

The other two are harder; I went with the Namco games because I like purdy graphics and pressing buttons. :3 I'm not going to hate anyone for preferring something like SSBM or Alpha 2, though.

I think Virtua Fighter got a rough matchup in the first round. It's a lot better than KI and MK, imo.

The MvC games are way better in just about every aspect. MK was groundbreaking in that it caused a video game violence uproar and, sure, you might have some fond memories of it from your childhood, but that doesn't make it a better all around fighter. MvC should be getting the easy vote here.

These were all easy except for MK/VS. where I picked the inferior MK as a sentimental choice it was the first video game I got really good at.

I doubt you can find proof that "almost all critics" consider it the best fighting series.

Note the words I used...I never said I could find proof most critics would consider it the best fighting series (most would give that to Street Fighter for what it has accomplished), I said most critics say it is the best 3-D fighting series of all-time. And finding proof of that is not hard.
