Why would that be though? Intuitively you'd think there'd be less TAG's.

1. The rake structure at most sites is much more favorable at 2/4 than 1/2.

2. 1/2 is a popular method for clearing bonuses at many sites. Commonly the number of big bets required to trigger a raked hand is lower than for other low limits. Obviously bonus whores are bad for the game.

3. It's been said that live fish are used to 2/4 being the lowest stakes and many go directly to 2/4 instead of playing microlimits.

4. Mostly I have no idea why.

The real moral is that certain sites at certain times in history have experienced what I call "inversions" in which higher games are routinely better than lower games. It's something to be aware of because the extra money you make spends perfectly even if you can't explain it.

In my experience FT 5/10 and 8/16 are ok compared to other 5/10 games.

I agree about the hours. Within the last 3 months I have noticed that games are much easier "my" times from 5pm CET to 11pm CET. It seems that when the clock turns 5 or 6pm ET the games toughen up.

Another example of this is that sites like Ongame, Party and boss media have become relatively better than the US sites within that same time span.

I really hope for you US guys and for myself that the gambling act is removed as soon as possible.

off the top of my head,

blaine-is-god seems very good. he plays 3/6- 10/20 and has been a big winner over 10000 hands.

Interesting...I've been thoroughly unimpressed with his play (mostly@ 5/10), but maybe its cause he runs white hot vs. me

On the other hand, I'm starting to buy into everyones praises of "studholdem"

Was playing yesterday (he's playing today too) with TehKarpfen and I've got some pretty flattering notes from him to the effect that he's a good player. Think I've got about 2500 hands with him.

I have about 1k hands on him. His stats looks like pretty standard TAG stats with 27/21 5-6 handed. I only have 1 note on him namely donking AJ on Q65 flop into me after I 3-bet preflop. I have seen him donk a lot more than that but without him showing down.

He seems solid by the way but I really dont know for sure.

BTW is JPfold any of you guys?

He plays pretty well IMHO and is a regular at small-mid stakes at AP and UB as well.

Is there any way to import notes into PT from FT? Also, here are a few more TAGs that I have 5-8k hands on...

Steady Hands
druppyskid
HolyPoker
Buddylistme

I've only played much with HolyPoker and I don't remember him being very remarkable. He's a little tighter (24 vpip) and buddy's only 19vpip.

Everyone here's a "bet when checked to" donk - more so than Stars - even the .7 AF guys. I have to reevaluate my disdain for screwplaying.
