Matt, why do you have to teach the fish? It's going to be so much harder to beat online games now. I'll go to an NL50 table where it's all limping and i'll see raise reraise, reraise all in..they will be so loose and aggro it's not even funny

Just a thought... there is plenty of literature out there that even if a neophyte would read could make the game tough. I think it is clear despite the explosion of books that most folks don't have the discipline to read them, much less implement them. I don't think we have any worries here... They'll read a chapter or two, win a couple bucks and feel like they are pro. Then the book goes on the shelf, and their dough in our pockets.

What % of online players will actually buy this book, and even more important, what % will actually read it?

Donkeys cant apply concepts, no need to worry.

that's what the limit players thought a few years ago

oh well

Is there any substantiation for this? I've been a bit out of it, and very out of it from limit, so perhaps "everybody knows" online LHE is now unbeatable or something. Nevertheless I'd like to see evidence or even authoritative opinions.

Also, are you referring to online only or B&M too?

i played a few hundred hands of 6max $1/2 limit the other night (there are like 6,000 limit books out there). i can assure you that the players were beyond horrible. one guy called down with T high in a multiway pot that was capped on the turn AND river.

online games are considerably tougher than they were a few years ago....even at .5/1. My PT stats show table VPIPs down over 10% and pots down nearly 20% at the SSHE level. It got so sick that I switched to no-limit and never looked back.
