I Call, and consider C/R on all in turn.

Re: NL 50 | Overpair gets c/r on dry flop
I would call and shove over villains turn bet. I don't like folding here without a solid read.

Re: NL 50 | Overpair gets c/r on dry flop
In this spot you must be getting all your stack in on either the flop or the turn.
I sometimes call this on the flop, but mostly just push. Often enough you will be called be a one pair hand other than AQ (such as KQ, QJ). |

Re: NL 50 | Overpair gets c/r on dry flop
I don't consider a board with a queen on it "dry". I've seen this play a ton of times with TPTK or worse. I'm likely felting this one unless I have a good read on villain that says "don't!"

Re: NL 50 | Overpair gets c/r on dry flop
How are people defining "dry" and "wet"...I use the terms solely to describe how drawy it is. This flop would be as dry as it can get.
Obviously others have different ideas...I watched jonyy6788's video and he described a flop as dry that had a FD and a SD on it. I thought he misspoke until he did the same thing at a later point. |

Re: NL 50 | Overpair gets c/r on dry flop
Basically what I'm getting at when I'm reffering to a flop as dry or wet is how drawy it is. What I really want to asses though is how ofter villains have sets or 2pair when they make this flop c/r. For example, on a 965 flop a villain might checkraise with 98 or 76 or whatever.
The queen on this flop makes it less likely that villain has a set and I do see AQ being a big part of his range here, which makes folding pretty wrong. Don' know what johnyy is doing though. |
