I don't know how old your friend is,but if he is living at home with his parents, then I would go straight to them and tell them what happened. They should give you access to his computer.

Your friend is trash, this is him 100%. You go to his house, and your account is robbed from his computer 12 hours later???? There is absolutely no way it was anyone but him. I would get really serious with the guy really quick. Get some evidence and confront him, if he continues to deny it get him arrested or something. A couple nights in jail could change his mind, as well as you telling everyone he is a dirty theif. Getting ostersized mught punish him some too. I don't see how your getting the cash back though, if he is degen enough to steal from you (BTW it really doesn't seem like your friend respects you at all if he does this and then straight up lies) then he prob doesn't have 6700$ to pay you back. And that is prob too little to get a a lawyer.

He's obviously not going to come out and say 'It was me, let me pay you back $6700'

His parents are your best shot at getting your $.

Once you have Stars' evidence and support, confront your friend and discuss him paying you back (which he will obviously respond to with "[censored] off")

After he turns you down, threaten to bring the issue up to his parents and the police - he'll probably tell you to [censored] off one more time.

Talk to his parents, let them know the entire situation and give them access to the email convos with stars - let them know that if your $ is not returned to you you'll make it a legal matter and their son will be branded a felon.

Seems like the best possibility of getting your $ back...

As discussed, please find attached an audit of all the activity on your
account. I have highlighted the point at which the activity began. During
this time the following funds were transfered:

$2712 to player 'Jballer8804'. We have managed to freeze $2661 of these
funds

$6942 to player 'Centurian1'. We have managed to freeze all of these funds.

A total of $6665 was lost at our tables, this activty has been reviewed by
our Poker specialists and there is no evidence of chip dumping; meaning
the funds were lost to legitimate players and cannot be recovered.

As per our conversation, this activity took place from the main pc of
player 'bucky835', I would suggest that speak to this player for further
information.

[/ QUOTE ]

Did you find out who these other players are? If your friend buckie835 knows them then chances are that he is guitly. Try to find out where these players live (city) and any other information. Also, don't steal anything back from him, it will only make matters worse.

Also, you mentioned he likes to play higher stakes, if thats the case why ask for a trasnfer of $100, its peanuts

because hes busto, and wants to 'run it up'.

I haven't asked him if he knows those accounts. I will ask PStars what city/name/etc they are registered to.

In other news, the Stars security rep I was speaking with told me the matter "has been escalated to Security management for their review."

what does this mean?

Any chance the hand history files are still on his pc?

[/ QUOTE ]

Already thought about this. They probably are, but I doubt I will be allowed access to his pc.

Being allowed and doing it anyway are different animals.

Just for kicks have you checked your own computer for a keylogger?

Try googling for counterspy and run that scanner.

Also try running this program on your friends computer for the off chance that he may not have scammed you on purpose.

Go to his parents for access to his pc. Do it when he is not at home and have them watch you the whole time.

He run Poker Tracker? Go over to his house one day and when he leaves the room transfer his history to a memory key. Then you can check espicially since he sounds like a degen gambler who doesnt have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.

Sorry to be a bit of a dik but are you scared of this guy? Do you hang in the same circles and "taking back" what is yours is an issue? 6.5K for a guy playing 1/2-3/6 is big coin. You think if you worked for minimum wage in a factory and the guy stole 6.5K from you that you would just roll over and not be too upset about it? Well look at it this way you probably make like 20$ an hour on Stars (maybe more) and this guy just SCREWED U OUT OF 325 HOURS OF FKN WORK! That is a month about 1.5 months of working a 9-5 job.
Dude dont let this go. You will regret it later. Tell everyone around, talk to his parents, get Stars to email him, make his life a living hell.

Nothing worst than a low life thief.
