Default JJ in capped pot

BB is pretty loose pre but doesn't raise enough overall. reasonably aggro postflop, but makes mistakes and scare cards can freeze him up.

UTG is LP pre, somewhat aggro post. a worse player than BB.

Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $2.50/$5
4 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (4 players) yourface is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG calls, Button folds, <font color="#cc0000">yourface raises to $10</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $15</font>, UTG calls, <font color="#cc0000">yourface raises to $20</font>, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($60, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">yourface bets $5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $10</font>, UTG calls,

I put the BB on TP+ and UTG on any pair any draw maybe some overcards

3ball or what? what if UTG had folded?

Its pretty close. Youre dog vs BB on the flop IMO, but with UTG's overlay, 3 betting is about nuetral ev. The fact that BB should put in another bet with AA swings this to a calldown for me.

At this point there's no reason for us to think our hand is no good - and we lose just as much value by playing this passively as we do flat lose by playing this aggressively and being behind to AA I would think.

I say this because if the turn's a brick we lead and are raised, BB will occasionally show up with AK / TT so the aggressive line doesn't always lose, but the passive line will result in a check on a street that we don't want to see it.

I run bad so I just call. I am fairly sure you are behind to BB but as Nina says there is a nice overlay from the moran.

Dunno, cant be a big mistake to 3-ball it.

I'm not convinced that UTG adds enough to the pot to make 3-betting better than just calling given your read, so I shut it down.

Hu it seems closer to a fold than a 3-bet. I call down absent an A or K.

part 2

Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $5/$10
4 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (4 players) yourface is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG calls, Button folds, <font color="#cc0000">yourface raises to $105</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $15</font>, UTG calls, <font color="#cc0000">yourface raises to $20</font>, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($60, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">yourface bets $5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $10</font>, UTG calls, yourface calls.

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($90, 3 players)
yourface checks, BB checks, UTG checks.

River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($90, 3 players)

at this point I'm thinking that BB has a weak pair or something like AJ/AK, and UTG might have a weak pair but more likely has some kind of busted draw or missed overcards

can a c/r be considered here? I might induce some bluffs and any pair SHOULD value bet when checked to

This used to be a spot where Id c/r a lot. I whiffed every time so I decided betting is probably better.

BB probably has AK and hard to say what UTG has, maybe A3 or small pp. I think either one would be happy to showdown three handed. So I would lead the river.
