hes got a nfd with a gutshot to a nut straight.
i would assume your losing alot of value from worse flushes by check folding your nut flush draws out of position.

AT98 pot pot all day
but with naked draws check/call

Check/call with a naked NFD? Really? I'd be way more inclined to check/fold. Especially 5-way. Is this a leak?

uhhh yes, check/folding NFDs 5-handed is pretty obviously a leak...

In this situation say hero checks the flop and whoever is last to act pots it. Can hero call 20bb w/ a naked NFD (let's assume he doesn't have the gutter) with 3 other people left to act in the hand?

I just hate check/calling with my draws since it's so obvious when we hit, and as a result rarely get paid off. I'll bet my draws against 1-2 players when OOP and more when IP all day long.

I like all lines that dont involve folding flop, and since our outs often will make villians next best hand. (booth str8 and flush) c/r lp bet is bad. This is a spot we prefer the pot to be multiway so we dont get it in vs sets HU.

Weakleading is somewhat sexy, even we build pot oop.

looks good too me.

fwiw I would prefer having a 9 to have TP instead of the 8 to the gutshot.

its even better because people are very very bad at omaha and will call with 2nd nut flush draw.
