Re: I can\'t read the board club
Similar in theme...
I am playing a min bet 6max HE game. UTG raises, CCer, and I 3 bomb it in the BB with QQ. Flop is AQ4r and I bet, UTG calls, CC calls. Turn is A. I bet, UTG raises, CC drops out, and I launch my second 3 bomb. River is a 6. I bet and start saying to myself, "Please have A6, please have A6, please have...oh [censored], no not A6 not A6 please no not A6!!" The happy ending is he called, I breathed a sigh of relief and his pitiful A8o was far from good. |

Re: I can\'t read the board club
omaha hi/lo PL. 4 other people at the flop.
I start pushing out 3 of them on flop and turn with 1/2 PSBs, because I have the nut low. (using 3 of my cards) I then proceed to win showdown with 7 kicker versus villains busted low draw. I'm no winner at this game though, also lol omaha. |

Re: I can\'t read the board club
Once playing 5/10 omaha 8/b at the casino I thought I had a straight + nut low draw so I kept raising into the nuts (which I thought I had). The low hit and I kept raising, only to realize at showdown I got quartered, and of course got berated by the other guy w/ low. I laughed a little inside.

Re: I can\'t read the board club
One of my first B&M sessions, I was playing Stud, and KNEW I had 2 hearts in the hole. I caught 3 more, capped the river and triumphantly announced "flush" as I flipped my cards.
85 year old stud nit stares at me and says "where?' I root through my cards in disbelief. UGH. |

Then the eyes open wide with a look of horror when they realize what they just put all there money in with a crappy high card. Face goes beat red. Nervous laugh, pretending like it isn't eating them up inside and they want to vomit. Always fun to see. |

Re: I can\'t read the board club
just flopped a set with kings, kept betting, 3 callers all the way. river put a flush on the board, i bet, got raised and immediately went into a giant tilt-rant.
it managed to tilt me enough to make an "i know im beat but im gonna call anyway"-call. as the pot was moving my way i noticed there was also a pair on board. which only pissed me off even more, due to the missed value. theres just no pleasing me. |
