Really deep hand(s) from the Wynn
I've got $4400 behind and villain covers.
BB has $2K or so, and he's why I open limped this button. I know PF doesn't look right, but in this game with this BB it was. 5 handed I've got 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG straddles to $20 I call on the button SB folds, BB checks, UTG (straddle has last action) raises to $80, I call, BB calls. Flop 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, UTG bets $100, I call, BB folds Turn 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG bets $175, I call River 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG bets $250, I'm stuck wondering what the right amount to raise is. edit: villain seems to be solid/sort of straight forward, and i think that he views me as weak/tight, which gets more and more true the deeper my stack gets. How much would you raise, and what's your plan if he A) three bets, B) shoves Comments greatly appreciated~ A few orbits earlier.... It's 5 handed and I've got about $2600 behind. UTG and the button both limp, I raise to $50 from the SB with A-A. Blinds fold as does UTG, Button calls. Button is the BB in the above hand, and he plays bad LAG, making bluff raises on the river that are too small and too obvious. He covers me here. Flop comes A-6-9 RB I check, he checks turn 7 still no flush draw I bet $120, he raises to $300 I'm really not sure what his range is specifically, but I'd say it's probably 30% air, 70% one pair/two pair/one pair straight draw/any 8 I can't tell if I'm supposed to re-raise here or just call and let him hang himself on the river. thoughts? -Tex |

Re: Really deep hand(s) from the Wynn
1.) why are you open limping on the button?
2.) if he's a bad lag why check the flop? fire and let him make a move. |

Re: Really deep hand(s) from the Wynn
hand 1- you really need to raise this turn. as played maybe 900? on the river
hand 2- bet flop!!!!!!! as played maybe call turn, then block bet any blank river hoping to induce a raise? |

Re: Really deep hand(s) from the Wynn
1) I make it 800
2) I rather get more money on the flop if he has a tendency of spewing |

Re: Really deep hand(s) from the Wynn
i'm open limping the button b/c the implied odds are huge.
and i'm checking the flop in hand 2 b/c of the possibility he has absolutely nothing and won't make a play, or b/c i might only get one bet out of him if i c/r the flop. i was hoping he'd catch something on the turn. |

Re: Really deep hand(s) from the Wynn
hand 1 make it 800 to go on the river
hand 2 I would call and check to him on the river, and depending on his bet I would raise or call. |

Re: Really deep hand(s) from the Wynn
these are midstakes hands, but..
how much does utg have? if depth of stacks isnt an issue, he's really underbet the pot each street. make it 1,000. if he shoves, you fold. unless he has like 2k total, then you call. 2nd hand id 3bet the turn. but i think you should bet the flop. |
