Default 10NL - I think I butchered this... I was quite lost here.

But knowing that doesn't help. How would you play this? If you flat call, what is our plan for the flop?

Some history. The shorty is probably very frustrated. He had been playing back at me a lot, CRing my c-bets (which I was having to fold). I finally caught a hand and took a lot of chips from him. Then another guy took half of what he had left.

I felt confident I was well ahead of his range when he shoved. The cold call from the PFR bothered me though, and I prefered to be heads up against the tilting shorty. The PFR seemed semi-solid, and I pretty much expect the cold call to be TT, JJ, AQs+, AK. I would expect a re-raise obv from AA, KK, and maybe QQ? Reasonable thinking?

Should I have flat called? Put in a 3x raise (which mostly commits me on a low-card flop)? Fold?

I'm not convinced that he would necessarily re-raise AA and KK, people love to trap and bring you into the hand.
A 3x raise commits you to the pot anyways, not sure if i prefer that to shoving or not.
I'd call and play the flop relying timing tells, flop texture and bet sizing, still not going to be easy to play, but your preflop spot is really tough, since shoving folds out worse and gets called by better for the most part, which I think he has a decent amount of the time.
I would stove this and find out about preflop, but haven't time atm!

With position on UTG and him already calling a raise and a reraise preflop without implied odds if he has a PP, I just flat call this, actually. He is showing too much determination to see a flop with his hand.

I'd have called and been ready to get in on a low flop. Throw away on a high one. UTG raise = strength if the player is semi-decent!

I'd just call the $2 and play it fairly agro if I liked the flop. Not much room to work in for this type of spot at 10NL preflop.

this is simply not true.

meh, raising to isolate is fine. however, i think you have greater EV by calling and using your position.

IMO you either 3 bet him to about $7 or you fold. Pushing gives you no opportunity to get away from the hand here. Really, you want to see if he is going to push over your reraise.

my default is to call, it lets me use my skills and stops them from making obvious decisions...everyone can fold TT or AQ or whatever if you shove
