Default ($12) 6bb, 86s vs. BTN limper ITM

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t120/t240
3 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
Button: t5575
SB: t6390
Hero: t1535

Pre-flop: (3 players) Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Button calls t240 (pot was t360), SB folds, Hero?

The villain hasn't done anything stupid before. This limp looks kinda sneaky, but I'm getting really short. Shove or check?

I'd just check. The button knows you are short when he limps so he is going to call you real wide. A free flop is nice with hand.

additionally, in this situation, you may want to wait until there are antes to juice the pot.

no antes on ft
check, especially if the limp looks sneaky. You have the perfect hand to take a flop and crack a big pair
