Question about Magic Johnson and the 1980 Finals

So I went back and actually watched this game in its entirety on my Lakers Dynasty DVDs. Magic started off Guarding Caldwell Jones and playing a SF/PF on offense.

When Norm Nixon went out, he played the PG spot offensively and sometimes guarded the other teams SF.

At one point in the game, the Lakers went small and Magic was effectively playing C on offense. This was for only a few minutes, but he didn't leave the paint for a few possessions and was posting up and crashing the boards.

He never really guarded Maurice Cheeks or Henry Bibby, so I guess he didn't play PG defensively.

So basically to sum up, he either guarded or offensively played as every position on the floor.
