I think it's almost guaranteed that Mr. Brady will be out after the 1st quarter of that last game. They will do everything they can to protect their starters for the playoffs.

except past history suggest otherwise

Billicheck is an extremely arrogant, egotistical maniac. I would expect him to go for 16-0 if they get close.

That's not Kornheiser, so it's actually a bit less than 100%...

After watching Brett Favre GIVE the football game to Chicago the other night, anyone betting on an undefeated season from any team is clearly nuts...

Moss or Brady goes down and your team becomes so much weaker. The chances of either of those happening has to be like 20%.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh ok so it drops from 1.97% to 1.6%.

Also, there is some hilarious analysis going on in this thread, especially from tereg. I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Sporting Events.

Bear with me and tell me if I'm insane for thinking this way. If the Patriots come close to becoming undefeated, they should focus and put 100% effort into completing an undefeated season even if it slightly hurts their chances of winning the superbowl. Why exactly is winning the SB the #1 priority? Having an undefeated season would bring much more glory and respect to a team than a SB win will. People don't remember the '72 Dolphins because they won the SB, they remember because they were undefeated.

[/ QUOTE ]

I totally agree with this. Of course it depends on how you define your objectives as a franchise, but "glory" seems like a pretty good one. This is why any QB who isn't retarded should secretly prefer the TD record or something like that to winning a SB or making the playoffs. Of course it wouldn't do to ADMIT that, but there is no reason that one SB>some awesome record. Neither of them "matter" in the grand scheme of things, right?
