Default FTP $50r no idea

This is from the $50r on ftp a few nights ago. No reads cause I was chatting with hot babes all night.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Donkament
Blinds: t200/t400
(Ante: t50)
9 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t7800
Hero: t52325
MP1: t5260
MP2: t22642
MP3: t46842
CO: t40578
Button: t18138
SB: t3613
BB: t16870

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG+1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to t999</font>, 4 folds, Button calls t999 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was t2049)</font>, 2 folds.

Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (t3048, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets t1999</font>, Button calls t1999 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was t5047)</font>.

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t7046, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">Button bets t3600</font>, Hero calls t3600 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was t10646)</font>.

River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (t14246, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">Button bets t8400</font>, Hero asks for time

I felt like alot of ppl will call the flop with KQ,KJ,QJ type hands... and then when I check obviously they could try and take it away on the turn but I just don't know. Also, does anyone c/r the turn? The river bet size felt like he was going for value. thoughts? thanks

and we're not close to the money yet

This is tough w/o reads bc I think it's a spot that's largely read dependent. I'd probably call - we're getting odds and he has a lot of missed draws and floats in his range. Really not sure though.

i dislike the small raise preflop, i think the amount is going to get you more action than you want and you are OOP. however its not a big deal.

i'd probably play it like you did and fold the river. your draw gives you too much equity to fold the turn given that you still might have the best hand. to me it feels like he would not take the turn half pot / river 2/3 pot with missed overcards because it looks weak. sans reads he might just be a monkey tho, so
