Default botch?

both villains are relatively unknown, but not loose passive or total maniacs either one.

on the flop my hand is clearly good enough to call, and I figure that I’m up against a naked ace enough that I want to make the effort to get headsup by raising instead. Crazy or ok?

turn kinda plays itself.

It's always easy to be results-oriented when these flop raises backfire, but I'd honestly prefer a more concrete passive or maniac read to raise there.
The turn looks like a fold the first time; maybe i'm missing something.

[/ QUOTE ]you aren't giving either of them credit for a 4 or 3 on the basis of the flop play are you, so given the action on the flop I would still call for overcards given the pot size expecting the player 1 to call.
after he c/r we are safely done with the hand.
The bigger problem I have with the flop raise here is I don't think anyone playing 6 max today is that passive that they will give you a free card here. Even full ring .5/1 isn't that passive anymore. They all assume you have a big ace so even 77 isn't going to sloww down here.

Player 2 bet/3-bets into two players even though player 1 cold calls 2. I think we should give at least one of them credit for a made hand and fold the turn UI.

Regarding the flop play I like it if player 2 would donk A high and player 1 is tight enough to fold to 2 bets, but it certainly requires a read.
