How could he? Inventory isn't so exact that they have to account for every tortilla that comes out of the pack torn in half, or gets dropped, or whatever.

Basically the only way he's going to get busted if he's narced on or if he's a complete idiot about it.

You must think I'm dumb, because I do believe it is there for an order to ring up at $9.32, and have the server tell you the total is $9.82, and just keep track of how much the register is over. Server pockets the difference at night before he goes home.

I'm think Taco Bells are all corporate, there aren't individual owners. Also, obviously start shortchanging him with meaningful looks.

I'd rat him out. Why wouldn't you? How can anyone seriously think that it's ok for him to steal? The only reason I wouldn't is if I were simply too lazy, which it appears you aren't since you posted this thread.
