edit: I mean I have no clue why he suspects "Opaaufpoka" of this pm (the one with the American car thread). Do we check IPs because of such requests? Or do we just ban the 1post user?

not yet, I wanted to do ask about the IP checking thingy. Im new and I dont know who does it and whether it can be done when the user is banned or not. (Well, I suppose it can be, but 5% chance it cant and I made my first bad moddecision).

edit: I think I just found out that the reds do it. So if you want to...

(I would actually favour an IP check. Cause in case the user is right I could ban the greatest attention whore / borderline troll / idiot of GBBV ever [and Hercules will be mad with me])

You can see the user's initial IP and most recent IP in the edit user screen. This is the case whether they are banned or not. Similarly, Ryan can search the IPs used by the user and the user will come up in a later search after you've made the ban.

If that's what's holding you back, go for it.

okay, all IPs of the suspected member and Jewking differ. Still JK gets a permaban now for obvious reasons.

edit: I was about to type "permaban" when I realized that I actually have no proof for that the pm is real. His only post isnt exactly friendly but not very destructo-troll-like either.

HOWEVER, he has one post and what I consider to be an offensive name. imo, drop the hammer
