Default Snooker Questions

I have two snooker (a game played with cue and balls on a billiards table) questions that a professional sports bettor may well know.

Do you think players ever ask to have the cue ball cleaned so as to gain a slightly better angle when it is replaced on the table for the upcoming shot?

Is the break in snooker akin to playing white at chess or serving at tennis? Are you more or less likely to win the frame that you break off in?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

I'm no expert but I would say no and no.

Particularly on the second, even if there is any advantage to breaking it's nothing like having the serve in tennis.

No, this would be so minute a difference if any with the skill of the referees now.

No, this can work with you or against you
