Default PLO8 MTT - Correct call for boat re-draw?

I'm relatively new to PLO8, so feel free to critique this entire hand. In a short-handed situation, I wasn't quite sure how to play this.

$8 MTT on Stars. 11 players left out of 360.

Poker Stars
Pot Limit Omaha Tournament
Blinds: t2000/t4000
5 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: t55072
CO: t71388
Button: t24194
Hero: t39784
BB: t69490

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with :9h :2h :2c :th
2 folds, Button calls t4000 (pot was t6000), Hero calls t2000 (pot was t10000), BB checks.

I'm really not sure why I called here. My hand sucks. I guess I figured I was getting 5-1 and was hoping for some sort of draw with the 9T. Should I normally fold pf in this situation?

Flop: :9c :2d :6d (t12000, 3 players)
Hero bets t12000, BB calls t12000 (pot was t24000), Button folds.

Correct to bet here with bottom set?

Turn: :jd (t36000, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t36000,

Hero???

Edit - I just looked at the math and a call is wrong here. In the heat of the moment, I looked at what Stars was showing as the pots size...not how much I could actually win.

BUT, I am still interested in whether with the stack size I have left , if I am getting close to the right odds, is it strategically correct to make the call in order to put myself in a position to win?

i'll let someone else address your question, but this hand is absolutely a fold pre-flop. i believe you should do some reading about starting hands for O8 if you are completing with a P.O.S. like this one. off the top of my head, i know hellmuth's book had an ok starting hand reference.

Fold this hand preflop. But since you are here...

A key point to remember is the BB could have absolutely anything (he got a free look at the flop). While the situation is bad all around, I think you have a call. There is a decent chance your opponent is bluffing since he knows you are making a decision for all of your chips and you will have a hard time calling with less than a flush. The way I see it:

Chance your opponent is bluffing + chance to fill up if he's not + you will be in very bad shape if you fold (only enough chips for 4 orbits) + there is likely little difference between payouts for 5th to 4th but a big jump if you make the top 3 = CALL Cash game I fold.
