***Official*** Blue Jays drive to the playoffs thread!
Well, they took 3 of 4 from the Yankees and now have that elusive middle inning man. It's a longshot but we've got a chance! 4 1/2 behind Boston for the East, 4 1/2 behind Chicago for the WC. The pitching matchups in Seattle look good, by the way. Janssen vs Piniero, Halladay vs Meche, Burnett vs Moyer... a sweep would be fantastic and it can be done as we should have a slight advantage in each matchup (although it is in Seattle).

ESPN said that LUGO might end up with the Jays. IMO, if that happened, and with Rios back to form, we'd have the best line-up in baseball.
Too bad our pitching staff is in shambles, although I have high hopes for Marcum.

If Burnett is clicking the rest of the way, the Jays are legit title contenders.

Plus, they aren't as good as the Red Sox.

Lugo looks good and would be a huge improvement over TOR's current SS, but he's realy just plugging a hole as opposed to making a huge impact on that team. If he doesn't go at the deadline there will be a lot of teams looking at him in the offseason, including Boston. good luck jays as long as the Sox take the division.
