Default Did i mess up on extracting value on this turn??

Villain is 32/18/2 and has been splashing around with a lot of raises. He likes to play down most hands and often folds on the river if he can't catch something. More often he pushes weak players off their hands and you never see whether or not he had something. Whenits big money though, he's got the goods. I thought i had him here because of his bet size on the turn...so i raised.......

Shoudl i have just called and then pushed the river after he bet......thoughts please.

I like a flatcall here. You are repping at worst a set, and he folds almost all of his range to your bet. If no diamond hits the river, you can make a very bluffy looking shove and probs get paid off there.

I prefer a turn call and river shove.

On a sidenote - I don't like your PF action

Yes...yes what...????

The guy folded to my raise as it was , so how would a bigger bet extract value here?

I think turn call, river shove would have been best too. What's not to like about the pf action, i was trying to get into a hand as cheaply as possible with these small cards.......thoughts???

Yeah, my thoughts too...in hindsight. Although i might get taken about by a flush he may be drawing to.....??

Fwiw I like preflop. Sometimes I raise but that's depending on the limper and the blinds. Folding is bad unless the blinds are lagtards.

If you raise that small it looks like you are milking him, it makes most opponents a lot more skeptical than if you raise a standard 3x his bet...

The raise is suspiciously small, and reduces the possibility that you are FOS. A bigger bet will often be interpreted as weakness or a draw.
