thanks Mike

Matt/Mason - what's the plan with the back cover? Do you want author photos (if so I need them)? I have a spot for the ISBN/UPC and the 2+2 logo, and price... anything else you have to have on there? If not I'm going to start working on that and get back to the front cover later. Photos are my main concern because they take up at least a square inch of real estate each (and there's three authors) - tough to fit those in later once I have a basic design.

Spine is simple. Title, authors, publishers logo, that's it.

Gonso, so far as I know the three author pictures will be on the back cover, and as per Mason's printer's request I had my photo saved in a jpeg format 300 dpi resolution at 2x3

hope that helps....

Could the photos be posted at some point here in the thread, preferably at that size and resolution? Nice to have all the elements handy.

Well, looks like we're at the moment of truth. I was anonymous until now save for the name thingy. I'm going to post my face in the El Diablo Forum.

Sunny do we have to be on the back cover? Ugh.

The author photos are dropped in by the graphics department at our printer after we have accepted the cover design.

Best wishes,
Mason

I really only need a good idea of the size and dimensions. I'll just assume you'll want them at 1.5" tall by 1" wide, unless someone specifies otherwise. I'm sure that won't be far off.

I was thinking about borders for the photos, size is less of an issue if I toss that idea. Ok, thanks, back to work.

Any feedback on the one using the queen?

imo, the king cover looks much better. the queen cover has a tarot card feel that i don't like as much. using the king and changing color might be enough. but either way, both designs are solid. nice work.

I like the kings better.

Can you make the title slightly smaller to give more space right, left, and top around it? Also, what do you think about moving the authors up 1/8 inch or so?
