Cash Poker where did it go??
Cash Poker had been airing locally at midnight Fridays. It was not on last night. I have assumed it has not been cancelled since they still have games scheduled on their web site. Does anyone know when it now airs?

Re: Cash Poker where did it go??
I saw it wasn't scheduled last night either. If it means anything, the web sites says cash game dated April 6 was postponed.
http://www.ultimatepokerchallenge.co...oker_dates.php If this was the material the producers were going to use for the next few episodes, there might not have been anything to put on the air. |

They're showing one here right now, don't know if it's a rerun. Layne Flack is playing, Vanessa Rousso is cohosting.

Does anyone know when it now airs? [/ QUOTE ] The show is a "time buy", meaning that the producer has to pay for air time. The show depended on online poker "schools" as sponsors. With sponsorship support from online poker "schools" pulling out one by one (DoylesRoom left in January, followed by Absolute/UB), you can draw your own conclusions as to what happened to UPC Cash Poker (i.e. same thing that happened to UPC in February). Passport Entertainment has enough unaired footage of UPC tournaments and UPC Cash Poker shows for airing during the 2007-2008 season, if sponsorship money were to return. -- One other thing: you may have noticed that players whose only appeal is the U.S. have only one choice to make when they are seeking sponsorships from the online poker "schools" category right now. (Hint: Absolute/UB terminated several contracts last week, while PokerStars stopped purchasing TV ads in the U.S. 2 months ago.) Needless to say, most players based in the U.S. (with a handful of exceptions) have NO negotiations leverage right now. |

ooh? layne Flack, i'd love to see that. [/ QUOTE ] It was a great episode. Layne Flack offered his philosophy that "everyone should have lots of nice shoes, nice beds and nice cars, because that's where you spend all your time". Then later, there was a big all-in pot with Todd Brunson and another player where they ran it twice, which led to confusion from the dealer who didn't seem familiar with the procedure, and everyone jumping in to tell her how to do it. Which wound up with Todd telling Layne to shut the hell up. Pretty hilarious. |
