Default HORSE PPV ??

I understand that the WSOP HORSE event final table was NLHE to satisfy what ESPN thought would be (and perhaps is) the desire of the majotity of its viewers. If the final table had continued as a HORSE event would you have subscribed to a PPV showing at the same price as the ME?

From what I've heard; it was Harrah's, not ESPN, that made the decision to make the Final Table NL.

With holecards I would get the final table but watching limit games wouldnt be that exciting really. The names at the table would be huge but thats about the only appeal, for me at least.

I would watch it, but only if they started at a reasonable hour. I think the final table started at like 9pm Vegas time, which is midnight in the East.

let me guess... you play NLHE?

and yes, watching strategy from the best players in the poker universe is quite boring, so we come here and listen/read/contribute to strategy from people who arent the best players in the universe instead..........

HORSE is the game of games and changing it to NLHE at the end is absolutely retarded IMO. Do any of the other events change once they hit the FT, I think not. Why here? It gives an unfair advantage to those who play NLHE more than the other games once they make it to the FT.

As for PPV... I would pay if it was HORSE on the FT, not NLHE though.

I agree with what Davey is saying about holecards and it being limit. It definitely wouldn't be as exciting if you couldn't see the holecards AND the fact that it's limit will prevent there from being these all-in where you actually get to see their cards. When there are big bets in NL it makes it exciting even if you can't see their holecards, but when it's just limit there isn't that same excitement for viewing. I may be comepletely wrong and it could be very entertaining to watch so who knows?

HORSE is the game of games...

I agree that mixed games are cool, but I've always found it strange that the particular mix they use to award a bracelet is determined by the fact that it makes a cool-sounding acronym.

Actually, I would guess we'd get to see the hole cards more often, since limit games tend to involve a lot more hands that make it to showdown.
