Default Big Oopzi

Small Stakes Live Tourney, $80 buyin, $40R, $40 Addon, spread limit, 15 minute blinds. Final table 4 players left. Blinds 3000-6000. UTG says "all in". Button folds. Small blind states "all in" but is not aware that UTG has already declared "all in". Big Blind folds and mucks hand. The small blind then quickly mucks his hand and grabs big blinds chips. The dealer then picks up both the small and blind mucked hands. The rail birds start yelling UTG is all in and has a hand. The tourney director then comes over and determines the small blind verbal delaration is binded and must pay the UTG basically half his huge chip stack, which now he is 3rd in chips and steaming. He is eliminated by soon after. I felt bad for him, but definetly a big oopzi.

Don't muck your hand until the hand is over.
