I think most good players will raise here with air. If you think theres a decent chance he's capable of this and is unlikely to have called with a 6 or 2 in his hand then I like betting an amount that looks like a blocking bet, about half pot and calling a raise.
Another added benefit is he is unlikely to reraise with JJ+.

A high will more likely call than repop river.

There's no value in betting this river card. Your only going to get raised, not called if you bet. He has nothing, you get no value from betting. I think his check on the turn told you everything you needed to know. Unless you have strong history togehter, I think you need to check and give up. I don't think he called you on the flop with Ace high, that would be very stupid. Maybe in a 1-2 game but not 10-20. [/ QUOTE ] "bloop bloop" (while making fish faces)
