$6.50 - QTo in BB facing min-raise, huh?
Villian is a fairly LAGGY donk. I can't possibly fold PF, can I? Push PF, even? Flop, stop and go and push it? Call his push with my overcards? Just fold? None seem really correct to me, help me out...

Even with t625 in the pot and getting 3-1 on your call with QTo? I thought maybe calling and then pushing if I got a decent piece of the flop could be OK? Fold PF is standard then ya?

id call this some of the time with your stack and c/rai if i caught a piece, but only if i had the laggy read as you do. this is fine IMO.

I dont know much about standard but i dont like giving low stacks chips. Thing is if he is as bad as you say there are gonna be lots of times you can get him all in when you have a hand. Why give him more chips now when if he sucks out later it is ever MORE!

I like the preflop call. If villain is as laggy as you say fold this flop and wait for an opportunity to take this exact same line then pop him on the flop.

Re: $6.50 - QTo in BB facing min-raise, huh?
This is one of those rare situations where the large size of your stack, and the small size of the raiser makes this call okay. Even though you don't really have the implied odds, unless this jackass is min-raising with stuff like 65s. I don't mind making a slight -EV call here to (a) make sure that the rest of the table knows I'm not folding my BB to a min-raise from a small stack when I'm huge and (b) the chance to add more to my stack and become a monster force on the bubble.

Bigwig makes a good point about table image and how you are percieved.
I dont think calling is horrible, but a UTG min raise looks like is basically begging for action. Even if he does not have a premium hand, you are going to have to hit the flop hard. Because if your read is correct, he is not folding his PP, Ax, or even Kx to any flop. Maybe I am w/t, but I would rather save t200 and pwn his blinds. I like the chip distribution/ set up of the table here. |
