Default PTO db

I'm getting to a point where my PTO DB is huge. I'm thinking that old information has diminishing returns, and that I should start a new database both to have better info and for performance reasons.

Do you partition off your DBs? Is there a way to keep some information and remove the rest? Is this a good idea or not?

Yes, there is an easy method to do that, read the FAQ at pokertracker, or the help in the program.

I recommend you extract out the data at the levels your and and where your going and create a new db with it. You can then leave all the old db behind.

If you haven't done so, you should be running Postgres by now. Its amazingly faster and far more robust than the JET db engine used by the PTO default, MS Access.
