Aces are the highest pocket pair I raise UTG. There, it's out of the way.

I raise 2 jokers too!

I tend to keep the line at 99 but it is not set in stone. Depends on your table conditions and other things but in general I think that if you start at 99 you won't get into too much trouble.

I raise 99 or higher, unless Frond is sitting to my left, then I drive him out with 77 or better.

My default range is approx. {88+, AJs+, KQs, AQo} I tend to limp or raise 55-77, AJo, KQo, ATs, KJs, QJs, JTs.

But a lot can change this, such as table style.

[/ QUOTE ]

UTG this is about my range, except i don't raise 88. I won't start rasing the second set of hands until mp.

All too true I'm, afraid! (Although I am slowly throwing in more hands to raise with so watch out HP ).

99 seems to be the default line I guess for the majority here.

I think for me it's 77. Sometimes depends on how well I'm running at the moment. FWIW I'm very aggressive preflop.

[/ QUOTE ]

OP-I meant no offense but it sounded like a 2/4 passive game that when you raise they give you looks. I'm glad that you aren't playing that game. Good going. What limit are you playing BTW?

I normally start $4-$8 then when the fishes arrive by afternoon that's when I move to $8-$16.
