oommgggg.....

HOW could I forget killswitch engage

thx hero

and NO , i dont wear no complicated pants. I dont have any clothing that gives away the fact that I love metal more than anything else.

If you cant respect disturbed for their first album or korn for their early ages you are a hopeless case. I cant stand when people hate on korn, but at the same time listen to the music of 20 other bands who state in every other interview that they wouldnt even exists without korns influence. (not applying to you that much)

but you GOTTA give korn credit.

Nobody here has mentioned Strapping Young Lad or Devin Townsend.

People. Go forth and listen.

SYL is just the heaviest possible music you can get before crossing over into death metal.

Devin Townsend is the front man for SYL but also has a ton of albums out under his name. He also used to sing for Steve Vai back in the day.

Anyway, his newest album is called Ziltoid the Omniscient and I have been listening to it every single day since I got it.

Devin Townsend Interview

Asesome, going to go pick this up this afternoon

Agreed, but the same argument applies to KoRn as it does to Metallica. Back in the day they were the shiiiiit. Hands down, but, lately... weak sauce.

I've seen KoRn easily a dozen times, been on stage with them, met them numerous times, but I wont buy one of their cds. I can't do it. It just pisses me off every time I listen to anything passed Follow the Leader and even that is pushing it. Kinda like Metallica's Black Album.

On the real, KoRn put out two AMAZING albums and then have been on a steady decline ever since.

It's black label SOCIETY you [censored].

Oh and you cannot call yourself a heavy metal fan without liking metallica.

Metallica
Pantera
Black Label Society
Vital Remains
Amon Amarth
Slayer
King Diamond
Hypocrisy
Burzum
Iced Earth

just to name a few.

[/ QUOTE ]

Crazy pills that pantera wasn't mentioned earlier.

I don't know much any metal in the past 10 years but are RATM and Marily Manson considered metal now?

Hook up some linx people. Metal is one of the genres I really don't care for much anymore, and never REALLY did (relatively) before, but maybe I can have my ears opened up.

Killswitch Engage is pretty good, neighbor played some tracks.
