I don't see villain limping with AK:99+ in this scenario. Either way, this play had me extremely confused. Could be protecting a flopped two pair, or pushing early with a flush draw. 98 is definitely in villain's range here too.

My only thoughts on villain having AK is that in this position he would slow play it. As stated before, villain is usually semi-loose aggressive preflop, and a maniac after the flop.

why is this question even being asked. you have the second nuts, he probably doesn't have AK and if he does whatever redraw splitaments but it's incredibly unlikely.

I made the call, and BB called behind me.

Just a pretty crazy push in my opinion by villain here, and making sure I made the right move.
