Default A question for those who love sitting next to fatties on planes...

What would you do to someone who attached a pair of these to the back of your seat?

Meet the "Knee Defender"

You can attach these to the seat in front of yours like so:

This prevents the person in front of you from reclining, thus preserving your precious legroom.

Product description:

Protect necessary leg room on board any flight from reclining seatbacks. Simple, convenient, pocket sized and adjustable, this device allows for greater personal comfort in an otherwise compact space.

Living XL

I'm 6'7" and I can't imagine having the nerve to stick these on the back of someone else's seat on a plane. WTF, do people actually buy these? All of you 5'9" 150 pounders who fly often are getting it from all directions now. What would you say if someone attached these to your seat?

Wow, that'd be a pretty ballsy thing for someone to do. I'd be tempted to recline my seat to spite these [censored] even though I never recline my seat. I'm sure I can push back hard enough to snap these little plastic pieces of [censored].

Yeah, if I knew someone put these on, I'd tell the flight attendant to take them off and I'd recline the whole way.

On the other hand, if I recline, and the person behind me asks politely, I will accommodate them.

Trouble is, you won't see these things and will likely think your seat is just messed up, so you won't do anything.

Who needs these wimpy devices? I'm 6' tall, and when someone tries to recline all he way back into me, I just reflexively slam my palms into their seatback and say "WHOA!"

One guy tried reclining a second time a few seconds later; I responded similarly, and he didn't try again.

I'm 6'3 and I hate sitting in airplanes, I try really hard to get exit rows but sometimes it's not possible. People who recline their seats in coach are on my all-time hate list. The [censored] chair reclines like 10 degrees thereby not increasing your comfort in any way, shape or form. In fact, I'm pretty sure the whole concept of coach reclining was invented just to piss me off. All it serves to do is to make the person behind you unbearably uncomfortable.

Also, people who deserve to be shot on sight are those who recline and then don't even attempt to sleep, they just recline for God knows what reason.

Even with all of that, I'm not enough of a dick to use this product.

Aren't you worried about your added responsibilities in the event of a crash?

Not so much about the responsibilities, but about getting trampled when a plane full of [censored] morons tries to get by me simultaneously....yes.
