Ansky, he said he's new to the table and doesn't know villain.

My range is like 22+/A6+/KT+/K7s+/QJ/QTs. I guess that's basically the same as ansky's.

OP is WestmenloAA, he's pretty well known. A lot of ppl know him who he does not know.

If our calling range is this wide (which looks good to me), we better be opening like half of our hands here. (which is pretty reasonable too)

full tilt's new book throws out charts showing how every hand does against top 10% of hands and top 25%. id say he's shoving somwhere around top 25% so now u look at pot odds. lets say its 60k to win 100k 5:3 . any hand that wins 40% against a top 25% hand is worth a call. thats A-5 OR BETTER, KJ UP, QJS UP, AXS,J10S,55 UP.

IF U THINK HES TIGHT TOP 10% THEN: 55 UP, AJS UP, THATS IT.REalistically range is prob somewhere in between.

Clayton, I agree with a lot of the sentiment in your post, however don't you think that assuming all unknown players in the sunday mil are gonna shove 60 percent of their hands here is a bit of wishful thinking?

Look at it this way, if the BB and SB both have about 16xBB, you could jam a pretty wide range profitably, even if they knew your cards.

Lets say you have A3

They have a hand that you don't want a call apx. 18% of the time.
When called you have 33% equity

82% x 18BBs
6% x 33BBs
That is about 16.75BBs, you only risk 16 by jamming.

If you fold to jam, you really have to tighten up how often you raise, or else your steals are easy chips for a thinking player
