Default 10nl 6max: 99 in the CO against MP raise (what to do if flop overpair)

$0.10 BB (5 handed)

BB ($10.15)
UTG ($9.25)
Hero ($17.95)
Button ($10)
SB ($15.05)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG raises to $0.35, Hero ?

I had played 67 hands with UTG, he had 6.0 VPIP and 4.5 PFR numbers. (Is this a call?) I'm pretty certain it's a call, so my real question is, what do I do if I flop an overpair?

Call this for set value, as for what to do on the flop it all depends on the texture

Well, This guy is pretty damn tight, so you know he has a really good hand. I would call his cbet with an overpair and fold to a turn bet, most likely. These guys are so readable, because their range is so narrow.

6.0 VPIP????? thats it? six as in a single 6, not 60? over 67 hands is kinda small but still.......... I would call because ANY PP to me is worth a call PF and its not even that high a raise 3.5x BB.

assuming everyone else folds, you will have position, so I cannot tell you what to do if you flop OC's because his action to a point determines your reaction

yea ill call here especially if theres loose players behind us that will also tag along...if you flop overpair depends on whats the board like and how many people are seeing the flop...

Let's say board comes 8 5 2 rainbow and we are the only ones in the pot. He bets flop (75% pot), I call. Turn a total blank. He bets again (67% pot). I fold? I guess he's so tight he probably shuts down with AK/AQ and if he doesn't it's still a fold because I can't call turn and river when he's likely only raising pairs 9s and higher along with AK/AQ?

Thanks a lot, everyone.

6% VP$IP, if we assume villain plays all pps that means he doesn´t even play AK. I think you can completely disregard the whole overpair/no overpair dichotomy and simply float the flop no matter what the board.
