Just FYI - it is currently 8 degrees (Celcius). It is nice and not snowing (it hasnt really been cold or snowy all month). I would think hard about a ski trip late March.

I asked a few of my buddies, and Mount St Anne is very good, but they preferred Le Massif.

If you stay in Montreal Mt. Saint Sauveur is a good option--4 lane highway less than 1 hr in decent traffic and the skiing is decent(although I'd push through another 45 minutes to Tremblant)
The eastern townships (owl's head, bromont) are commutable from Montreal as well (1-1.5 hrs)

If you can get a place in Quebec City (my favorite city in North America BTW) St. Anne is great.
