Is it too early to be salivating over the thought of Reyes, Beltran, Delgado, Green, Chavez, Valentin, and possibly Floyd lineup up from the left side against Weaver in a rockin' Shea for Game 1? [/ QUOTE ] well, that list has five guys that can only play outfield and first base. floyd probably won't be able to go, so that will solve that problem. |

Man, Milledge should have been traded back in July huh? Oh well, maybe he has a hell of a NLCS. |

Re: ***Official 2006 NLCS Cards v. Mets Thread***
It's the mid 80s rivalry I grew up with....the Mets are still more of a rival to me than the strokeoffs
Mets have the edge, but it's not by much. I'm guessing Mets in 6 as I don't think Weaver and Suppan can both keep it up. This Cards team is much better than the second half team as Edmonds is playing great, Eckstein is solid, and Wainwright pwns an injured Isringhausen. The good news is that Pujols hits well in Shea IIRC. Well, he hits well everywhere, but even moreso in Shea. |

Re: ***Official 2006 NLCS Cards v. Mets Thread***
A little note on the three game series that the mets swept the cards towards the end of the season.
Mulder and Marquis both started a game. Izzy blew a save. None of them on the roster. (Well Marquis might be but i hope he doesnt find a start.) No Eck or Edmonds. |

if the Red Birds pitch Carp in game two, they might win two games, otherwise it's Mets in 5.
