Default NL25: QQ on paired K high flop.

Hi,

villian is unknown.

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $23.35
CO: $15.07
Hero: $26
SB: $54.78
BB: $52.15

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises to $0.75</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2.25</font>, 2 folds, CO calls.

Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($4.85, 2 players)
CO checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $4</font>, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises all-in $12.82</font>, Hero xxx

He's a shortstack and I think this is exactly his move with a K or a 9.
Anyway I think I have to call this, everything else is weak tight and I'm commited.

Thoughts?

Thank you, guess

I don't think you are comitted. If he does this witha a draw/bluff then this is a call. o/w you have to fold.

I see shortstack villain do this UI, but I do not think this is one of those times.

You're not even close to being committed. Folding is fine, but I prefer to make it a bit more on the rr pf, and checking the flop a majority of the time.

I would have bet half the pot on the flop rather than the 4 you did. That way you would have been even less comitted and you could have let this go easier.

I don't mind the PF raise. Against a shorty like this I don't mind making it a bit more.

Yeah, I'd bet a little bit less on the turn and fold to his all-in without a good read. I wouldn't even consider a 9 here. He either has the K or a flush draw type of hand. Hard to say without reads, but more than likely a K.
