NL25: AQo vs. agressive player on monotone flop
Hi there,
villian is playing tight and very agressive after flop. He often just minraises preflop and after flop. Mostly I have no clue what he is holding. This is the first hand between the two of us: We both have 100BBs Poker Room skin No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.15/$0.25 5 players Converter Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG raises to $0.5, Hero raises to $2, 3 folds, UTG calls. Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($4.4, 2 players) UTG bets $3, Hero calls. Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($10.4, 2 players) UTG bets $6, Hero ??? Should I have folded the flop? What now? Shove? Clear fold? Maybe I post a second hand later. Thank you guys, guess |

Re: NL25: AQo vs. agressive player on monotone flop
I call flop and play turn WA/WB, call river. This is a hard one, Id like to see how others play this.

Re: NL25: AQo vs. agressive player on monotone flop
When you're up against a maniac and you have a pretty solid holding, a check/call is usually your best line. Let him do the betting for you and maybe next time he'll think twice. It seems like most of the time you're ahead here.

Re: NL25: AQo vs. agressive player on monotone flop
as played there is a good chance he is holding a lone ace of clubs or maybe a smaller pocket pair, i would call the turn with your top pair and then evaluate the river. if a club falls and he checks i would check behind, and i am probably calling a small bet with the 3rd nut flush. if no club falls im also calling a moderate bet. any thoughts?
