CR Membership Fair?

I think I saw someone else bring this up.

When signing up for Cardrunners last year, I paid an initial fee (I think it was around $100?), plus a monthly fee for the mebership. The terms said that this was a "ONE time" initial fee.

A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from that goofball Zimba saying if I didn't renew my monthly membership within 4 months, I would have to pay that inital fee all over again.

Is it just me, or does this seem unfair and maybe even unlawful? When did the people at CR decide to slip this litlte rule in there? Is it fair to apply this to all members (old and new), when the old terms stated it was a one time fee? They are bascially changing the contract that people agreed to last year which stated this was a one time intial fee. It's not about the money, but rather the principle.

Also, this seems like it will hurt business instead of helping it. I am not going to renew a monthly membership every four months to avoid paying that intial fee over again. I will just not sign up with cardrunners again.

I made this account becusae I pay monthly and am a well-known member. I just don't think it fair to the other members out there who have to deal with this stipulation.
