Re: C/T post: Tips for multitabling
Excellent post E,
I couldnt agree more with anything computer related and being comfortable. I would also add that things in your personal life (ie stress, lack of sleep, diet, etc) will effect your play if not taken into consideration. I try to avoid playing if I had a rough day or I just dont feel it. I guess thats a luxury people who dont play full time for a living have. |

Re: C/T post: Tips for multitabling
Nice post, E. After <2yrs online, for me multitabling is the only way to play. Gonna order that 2007FP reeeeeal soon.
[ QUOTE ] What show tunes are you listening to? Oklahoma, Carousel or Fiddler on the Roof? I think I am missing something important. BTW - I have the B-way versions of Les Miserables, How to Succeed in Business Without Trying, Guys and Dolls and Tommy. Highly recommend Guys and Dolls if you do already own it. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Personally, I like more modern stuff, but you're right...the harder rock and rap and stuff can be a bit too upbeat. My favorite current music to play to is the Garden State Soundtrack. Nirvana Unplugged is also an all time favorite. Really I just love the music I can be enjoying while playing without distracting me. [/ QUOTE ] As a husband and father, all I can say is, try silence sometime. It is absolutely delicious. |

Re: C/T post: Tips for multitabling
ETC.
Mini-post-its. I keep track of my table images with these. If I do something donky or make a move of some sort, I make a quick note of it and put it on the monitor next to the table. Dial-up modem, with a free provider if possible. More necessary for tournament play when your broadband goes out. Pee bottle. More necessary for tournament play. Empty Gatorade bottles work well. It sucks being at a final table and having to take a leak. Compact your datases at least once a week, and defrag your HD at least once a week. I do it 2-3 times, usually, dpeneds on how many hands I'm getting in. |

Re: C/T post: Tips for multitabling
Excellent post, I have been 4-5 tabling and still feel like I have been missing out on more.
Buying a new computer when I move at the end of July and just gonna throw in the few extra dollars to get another 20 incher so I can try up to 8 with no over lap. I started calculating the other day on how much more rb that would be, and it seems almost silly not to if I can mentally handle it. One thing you left out that is a must for all mutli tablers... get rakeback!!!! Another suggestion would be wearing Depends, BR breaks are -ev. |

You can't just get up and pee in a 20 second span? I thought Ed said something about distractions. There's nothing more distracting to me than a bottle full of my own piss sitting next to me. |

Re: C/T post: Tips for multitabling
Cappy,
Other good CDs include Sting's Nothing Like the Sun, Crash Test Dummies' Ghosts That Haunt Me (God Shuffled His Feet isn't bad either) and Beck's Sea Change (maybe the best of the bunch). Loading my new iPod 30G video courtesy of Pokerstars, 4_2 |
