I'd switch to c/c mode already on the turn. Villain capping the flop and not raising preflop means it's highly unlikely that you are up against TPGK. I fear we'll see a set of 8s or 6s and the only reasonable hand you beat is A6.

I don't give unknowns credit for a set here since nobody fastplays a flopped set. OP played this hand perfectly.

I also liked the way this hand was played.

A good player may not have capped the flop without a set, but villian is unknown, and a weak player could have been pushing a draw or overplaying top pair. A weaker 2 pair is also a possibility.

There also are not that many likely set combinations for villain to have. Only 1 combination for 88 and 3 for 66. So, it makes sense not to slow down until villain's turn raise.
