Default 5NL -poorly played set of 4\'s gets raised on river

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (8 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

UTG+1 ($10.15)
<font color="#C00000">MP1 ($5.05)</font>
MP2 ($3.14)
CO ($9.24)
Button ($7.38)
<font color="#C00000">Hero ($4.95)</font>
BB ($9)
UTG ($4.60)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. MP2 posts a blind of $0.05.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $0.2</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.18, BB calls $0.15.

I just sat at this table and this is my 2nd hand. No info on anyone yet.

Flop: ($0.65) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $0.2</font>, BB folds, MP1 calls $0.20.

Probably should be betting the pot into villian. I bet lower hoping I would get raised and with no read I made a mistake IMO.

Turn: ($1.05) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $0.4</font>, MP1 calls $0.40.

Another weak bet. This is terrible and I know better.

River: ($1.85) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1.15</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $2.55</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $4.15</font>, MP1 calls $1.60.

I didn't think he had a 5 so pushed. Do you guys get it all in on this river too?

Final Pot: $10.15

The bets need to be stronger on the flop/turn because of the potential draws. I'd just call the river.

Grunch:

You already know you should have bet more on flop and river so we'll just leave that be.

I'm not really worried about the 5 either unless he called down with 55. Based on his actions preflop, flop, turn, I would say he had some form of overpair to the board. Against an unknown I don't think I would come back over the top cause I'm weak tight, but I still think your ahead of a big part of his range here. I love those guys who play AA like this and then think watch what I do on the river. What do you mean AA doesn't beat a set?

Betting bigger on the earlier streets probably gets you all in by the river. Even if your betting went .50 flop and 1.25 turn. The pot is 4.15 by the river and you have 3.00 left, easy all-in.
