Whereas someone changing wiki thought "someone died! OMG maybe i can be the one to update his wiki! better rush off to leave my mark on the interwebs!"

[/ QUOTE ]
may be that person enjoys wiki and enjoys the satisfaction he/she gets from trying to keep wiki updated.
maybe that person was a huge pats fan?
or again, maybe that person couldnt care less about marquise hill and felt the wiki being correct was more important than waiting some arbitrary time period before updating wiki? i would imagine theres people who are deeply involved with wiki and are updating it constantly due to breaking news stories.
to say that person is "ghoulish" or "messed up" is dumb.

also, out of curiosity, how long should we wait for the wiki to be corrected when somebody dies?

so in other words you were the one that did it?

for the haters: there's vanity in everything, deal with it. i've seen the colbert report wiki updated like 2 minutes after something happens - why someone would watch the show just waiting on their computer to update the entry rather than enjoy it, I have no idea.

why was it posted here so quickly?
is the op more messed up than the wiki guy? less messed up? same messed up?

[/ QUOTE ]

I posted it because, as stated in the OP, I had CNN on and they reported it. I thought it was a terrible tragedy. I am not sure why posting info I heard on CNN was a bad thing and meant I am messed up. I simply thought the death of an NFL player was news, and people here would want to know, especially Patriots or LSU fans.
