Try the Plaza Athenee on 64th. Great classy small hotel, great location.

Plaza Athenee is nice too. In the 60's, I think.

Paramount sucks and is maybe my least favorite hotel of that style in NYC.

Check out the Kimberly Hotel, I think it's on Lexington, in midtown

I stayed at the Carlton on Madison and 21st(?) last weekend, and it was pretty good, good location too.
